I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your Confidential despatch of the 4th of April end to

enclose an application on Form P/1 from Major C. Willson,

0.B.E., for appointment to the post of First Clerk, Magistracy.

Testimonials in original with copies are also enclosed,

I need scarcely add to the recommendation

which I have made in my previous despatch of the 25th of

January. I would only observe that Major Willson is a man

of good health and physique, and appears much less than his

real age of 52.
